CALL FOR PAPERS
Abstracts of all presentations (Oral Communications and Poster Presentations) will be printed in the Book of Abstracts.

  • Conference Language: English.
  • Abstracts should be prepared in Word format and may include Tables, Schemes, Figures, and references, within one page only.
  • Each registered participant may submit a maximum of two communications.
  • Submission of the document may be made as an attachment file by email to V6@spq.pt with your registration number clearly indicated.

    Please note that an accepted abstract will only be included in the Book of Abstracts if the presenting author has formally registered, and paid the registration fee.


    DEADLINES SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACT: May 15, 2008
    Contributors will be notified via email of the acceptance of their contribution by June 9, 2008, at the latest.


    • ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
    Abstracts for oral and poster communications should be submitted electronically following the instructions and template that can be downloaded here.
    Please save your Abstract as a word file as "surname_nameV6.doc" in a WindowsXP or Windows2000 format, and send it as an attached file by email to V6@spq.pt
    If you send two abstracts also add _1 or _2; if one of the two is an oral communication, clearly indicate which.


    PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
    The abstract must be submitted according to the following rules.
  • Page size - A4 (297 x 210 mm)
  • Margins - left: 3.0 cm; all the others: 2.5 cm
  • Font type - Verdana and Symbol; do not use any other font type
  • Line spacing - title and text must be with line spacing "at least 12 pt"
  • 1st Line - Title: centered, 11 pt, bold letters
  • 2nd Line - Author(s): centered, 10 pt, presenting author underlined
  • 3rd Line - Affiliation and full address: centered, italic, 8 pt. In the case of different affiliations of the authors, specify with superscript a, b, etc.
  • Main text - left and right justified, 9 pt
  • Figures - good quality, located within the text (please bear in mind that the page size will be reduced to 70%)
  • Acknowledgements - 8 pt, justified, at the bottom of the abstract
  • References - 8 pt, placed in square brackets [1, 2, ...] in the text and cited at the bottom of the abstract

    Abstracts received late or not prepared according to the instructions may not be included into the Book of Abstracts.

    POSTER RESENTATIONS
    There will be two poster presentation sessions, and the posters should be kept on the panels from Thursday 17 (ca. 14h) to Saturday (ca. 13h).
    The posters should be of standard A0 size: 120 cm (height) x 90 cm (width).


    ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
    The total time allocated to oral presentations is 20 minutes, including a period for questions.
    A computer will be available for the presentations.
